Medical Description
Loratadine is a Histamine H1 antagonist; second generation antihistamine and is used to manage symptoms of allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, Urticaria and other allergic dermatologic conditions.
Indication & Usage
-Allergic rhinitis or conjunctivitis: Oral: 10 mg once daily. -Urticaria, new onset and chronic spontaneous: Oral: Initial: 10 mg once daily, Chronic spontaneous: Oral: Initial: 10 mg once daily. If symptom control is inadequate after 1 to 4 weeks, may increase to 10 mg twice daily. -In case of Kidney Impairment: if the creatinine clearance ≥30 mL/minute: No dosage adjustment necessary, if the creatinine clearance <30 mL/minute: 10 mg every 48 hours.
