Mechanism of action:

Vildagliptin Is A Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4 (Dpp-4) Inhibitor. Dpp-4 Is An Enzyme That Breaks Down Incretin Hormones, Which Are Hormones That Help The Body To Lower Blood Sugar Levels. By Inhibiting Dpp-4, Vildagliptin Allows Incretin Hormones To Remain Active For Longer, Which Helps To Lower Blood Sugar Levels.
