What are the contraindications for using Zarzio?
The treatment is not used in:
Patients who have shown hypersensitivity to the drug or any of its components.
Patients who have shown hypersensitivity to proteins derived from Escherichia coli (E. coli).
What are the precautions for using Zarzio?
Pregnancy: There are currently no adequate studies to confirm the safety of using the treatment on the fetus; the treatment is used if the therapeutic benefit outweighs the risk to the fetus. A doctor or pharmacist should be consulted before taking the treatment in case of pregnancy.
Breastfeeding: It is not known if it is secreted in breast milk. It is preferable to consult a doctor before using it.
Treatment is associated with rare cases of splenic rupture. The patient should be examined if he suffers from pain in the upper left part of the abdomen or shoulder pain.
Conduct a thrombocytopenia test.
Treatment may rarely cause acute respiratory distress syndrome.
The dose may be adjusted in case of blood collection from outside the bone marrow.
