Eliquis is a prescription medication that belongs to a group of drugs called anticoagants.
Used to prevent blood clots from forming in the following people:
After hip or knee replacement surgery
With non-valvar atrial fibrillation (a heart condition that can increase the risk of stroke)
To reduce the risk of recurrent blood clots in people who have already had a blood clot

HOW TO USE

The recommended dosage of Eliquis is 2.5 mg taken orally twice daily.
The first dose shod be taken 12 to 24 hours after surgery.
